Join the Safety City Volunteer Team

To facilitate our safety education mission we are looking for volunteers who could help in the following ways:

To facilitate our safety program we are looking for volunteers skilled in or interested in helping the following ways:

  • Manual labor: Painting our exterior mini-buildings and/or assisting with a monarch waystation and community garden
  • Event assistance: Assisting us during events like our Summer Safety Fair in June and Trick-or-Treat Night in October by merchandising, tabling, managing crowd, promoting on social media, and supervising activities
  • Video production: Helping us create promo videos to showcase what we do for the purposes of fundraising

Please note: We require that all volunteers attend an orientation training meeting. Individual and volunteer groups with up to 20 individuals are welcome. Teens 13 and over must obtain parental permission. All volunteers are responsbile for their transportation to and from our facility.

Safety City is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, by appointment only.

We are located at 1160 Harry Sykes Way, off Red Mile Road, between Central Equipment and Fayette Seed. Once you turn on Harry Sykes Way, drive past the Family Care Center and the Fayette Ag Extension Office.

We are the next building on your left and you’ll see our mini city in the back.
